Now families have a new option- Summer Fun and Learning all rolled into one program. Students from Prek-8th grade can now have the same advantages in the summer as those who attend Private Schools during the school year. Excellent, experienced teachers can help your child get ahead of the class in a relaxed and fun environment. Jump Start Kindergarten, First and Second Grade Reading and Math Programs-boost academic skills and help prepare for the upcoming school year! Work on difficult subjects from the previous year! Skills Sharpeners for Second - Eigth Grade Reading, Writing and Math Skills Sharpeners Program. Stop the learning slide that happens over the summer months. This Summer morning program is designed to maintain existing skills while further developing academic skills for the upcoming school year. All teachers are degreed and certified and have experience teaching at Country Day. They will help your child reach his or her fullest potential this summer. Skill Sharpener groupings will be determined by the grade completed and by testing and by teacher assesment. Students will then be placed in ability based groups and materials will match their abilitiy levels. The Skills Sharpener Program will have no tests or homework, but teachers will monitor students progress daily and keep parents informed.
